How sad. In any Mael-Gul-universe related stories there's never hope for poor Legolas. But I was reading and thinking: why was the Lady able to alter the spell but only to her own purpose and not to help Legolas and Aragorn, too? Maybe because she's cruel herself and doesn't even bother to think about a slave's destiny. So in the end I can only hope that Crowdaughter's story will have a better ending for Legolas, although the way to it will surely be very hard.
And I must say it was a cunning plan to write this story to remind Crowdaughter that there are MANY!!!!! readers who are eagerly waiting for an update...
